For last months update, please go here.
March was my slowest month of reading in a long time. I read one book, keeps my streak of reading atleast 1 book a month going - currently at 36 months - I started this streak in April 2017 and managed to keep it going!
A simple way to see what I’ve been reading is to click the link for last months update above and follow the links in every post.
The book I read in March was :
- Adjustment Day - Chuck Palahniuk
I’m a big fan of Palahniuk, I think he’s one of the best novelists out there and is probably the best at detailing the apocalypse in a way that you almost invite it.
Which is why this mini review is hard to write, Adjustment Day was the first book of his that I did not particularly enjoy.
Maybe that’s a little too harsh, here’s the thing, the premise is a little too simple, the build up is extravagant and beautiful, the ending is unexpected - in the sense that I expected the story to continue for atleast a little while longer.
I can’t say I was disappointed with the book, it was a fun read, but, not his best, I’m looking forward to his next book.

I’m also trying something a little different for this year, I’ve setup a pool of books to pick from for next year which I plan to keep updating, you can find the list here. If you have any book that you recommend I add to my list, do let me know.
Thank you for reading what I’m reading
