It’s a little over the end of Quarter 3 of 2019 now, and I’ve been on a roadtrip across Rajasthan, which is why this post has been delayed by a week or so.

For last quarter’s update, please go here.

I have a total of 20 goals for the year. I removed 1 because of a discussion with a friend about whether it fits my criteria for goal selection.

Here’s how I’ve done on a top level across my categories of goals.

Overall I’m at 68.14% across all my goals, which is about 7% short of the 75% target for this quarter. I do feel like I pushed myself a little more these past months but, not necessarily on all my goals.

Going for Vipassana was like a cheat code almost to get done with my meditation goal, I’m done with my travel and reading goals for the year as well.

Taking a look at this category by category as usual.

When it comes to habits that I alteady have, I seem to be doing alright, 77.39% for my habits overall and done with my reading and meditation goals for the year, this is up from 49.59% at the end of Q2 : a difference of around 27% for goals in this category.

I do think I’ll be able to push myself to complete all my goals in this category, which is a good sign.

As with the last Q, I’ve not been able to make enough time for hobbies, but, the goals in this category are not stretch goals, I do think if I change tack a little bit over the coming 3 months I’ll be able to get as close as possible to 85-90% in this category.

Having said that, at the end of Q2 I was at 33%, which means I’ve still managed to push myself by 22% for this over the past 3 months, which isn’t so bad.

I do need to allocate more time for my hobbies.

I’m lagging behind by a little bit when it comes to my discipline goals which honestly doesn’t surprise me because I haven’t been very disciplined over the past 3 months.

I highly doubt I’ll hit my target body fat % or hit my net worth goal on account of factors beyond my control - something to think about for next years goals and how to frame them.

One thing I am proud of is how much I’ve cut down Passive Content consumption by, I’ve now gone 30/39 weeks in the past year without consuming more than 1 hour of passive content a day for the entire week.

I spent more time on this category over the past 3 months and it shows. I was at 39.97% at the end of Q2 and now I’m at 71.65% - that a bump of 31% which I think is decent.

I’ve completed 2 of the 4 goals, removed 1 goal and am on track to hit my targets with my other 2 goals in this category, this should go on smoothly from this point on.

Summary

I’m at 68.14% overall, 6.86% below 75% which was the minimum required for Q3. My target for Q3 was 88% and I’m way off on that one, so, really need to push myself in the coming 3 months.

I’m excited to push myself and complete whatever goals I can within the next 3 months.

As I mentioned in my previous quarterly review, I’ve productized the way I track my goals in the form of an Android app, I’m currently doing a beta test with a closed set of users - If you’re interested in being a part of this or testing the app out and giving feedback, do reach out through email
