I thought I’d make this a monthly post and post an update now to bring it into a start of month type of cycle.
For my previous update, please go here.
I’ve been doing quite a few other things over the past couple of weeks which means I’ve had less time to read.
However, I did manage to read a few books,
-
Innovators Dilemma — Clayton. M. Christensen One of the better books I’ve read in recent times. Evident why he is considered one of the great thinkers of our times. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to re-jig their mental frameworks on ideas, innovation and entrepreneurship.
-
On Writing — Stephen King I finally got around to reading this. I love Stephen King’s writing. So glad I read this, I went back and re-read a lot of things I’ve written in the past and as I’m writing this, I can see so many things that can make it better. Haha.
-
Made in America — Sam Walton I picked this up in a bookstore when I saw it. I added this to my to-read list when I read ‘The Everything Store’ and have been meaning to read this ever since. Inspiring story with nuggets of wisdom all over the place. So clear how this man created the empire we call Walmart.
Books being read right now,
- Innovators Solution — Clayton. M. Christensen
- Never split the difference — Christopher Vaz, Tahl Raz
- Ethics — Aristotle
- Human Universals — Donald Brown
