Another light month of reading this time around.
For last months update, please go here.
It’s been pretty hectic on my end.
I read 3 books in February.
The books I read were,
- Nationalism — Rabindranath Tagore
This was an incisive critique of the concept of the Nation state and the phenomenon of nationalism built on the western concept of the Nation.
It was a great read, but, was a little surprised by how philosophical he turned a quite pragmatic and down-to-earth topic into.
I intend to read more Tagore this year.
I actually read 2 more short books.
- The Einstein Theory of Relativity — H.A. Lorentz
I like reading explanation of the theory of relativity because I don’t come from a theoretical physics background but, I’d like to understand it better.
I found this as compelling as many of the other explanations I’ve found, however, it does go into some level of depth that must be expected considering the stature of the author itself.
- As a Man Thinketh — James Allen
A lovely book on the power of thought. It’s short and yet reasonably impactful. I do recommend this for people looking for reinforcement of their own beliefs and looking to shift to a more positive system of thoughts. It’s not a framework, it is a push.
Thank you for reading
